Deep Tissue Massage

In a deep tissue massage, the therapist penetrates into your muscle tissue, working in between your muscle tissue fibers – something that is impossible to accomplish with broad, gliding massage strokes over relaxed muscles. Deep tissue massage is typically not recommended for beginner massage recipients due to the large volume of toxins released during such a lengthy, aggressive process. The primary effect of deep tissue massage is to lengthen and elongate tissues on both a neurological and connective tissue level. This can reduce lack of blood flow, remodel scar tissue, free nerves trapped by muscles and address trigger point activity.
